Who you are and what type of business do you own?

Have Run and owned the Ski Trading post for 31 years working on developing the store into the go to "specialist" snow and water sports store. We do ski, snowboard, waterski, wakeboard, skateboard and snow rental and workshop. We are conveniently located close to the Southern Motorway for easy access (with tons of off-street parking). Over the 30+ years we have adapted and survived through technology changes, fire, 3 world financial crashes and health scares striving to stay specialised and passionate about our industry and continually assist people in enjoying these sports as much as we do, but stocking and selling our customers with product fit for purpose and not just to make sales.

What challenges are you concerned about in the weeks and months ahead?

Increasing sales and hireage to recoup huge decrease in the first four months of the years’ turnover. This may be difficult to do as there is a large amount of job uncertainty out there.
